Dunham Water Treatment also manufacture the following filtration systems as a pre-treatment of raw water prior to demineralisation or softening should the quality of incoming raw water demand it.

Activated Carbon Filter - The presence of organic matter in water can cause colour, taste and odour problems. Activated carbon adsorbs organic matter and quickly and effectively removes chlorine from water, and can substantially reduce many volatile organic compounds.

Iron and Manganese Filter - The presence of iron and manganese will cause staining as the water is used. An Fe filter will remove these elements with a combination of oxidation, ion exchange and particle entrapment.

Sand Filter - For the removal of suspended matter and particle retention.

Organic Scavengers - For the removal of humic and fulvic acids from ground waters to prevent ion exchange resin fouling.
